Student Services

 

 

Accommodation

 

                Hostel accommodation is available to all students. However, it is not compulsory. Each spacious room gives accommodation to 3 students, with separate study tables. Common Study Area, Recreation Room, Indoor Games, Kitchenette and Laundry facilities are also provided in the hostel.

 

Mentor System

 

                 A member of the staff would act as a mentor for a group of students, from the day they join until graduation. The mentors would be available for consultation, on any matter academic or personal.

 

                 The mentors are required to meet their students every month individually to assess the progress and to ensure their well being. In addition, the student is free to seek the help of the mentor at any time.  

 

Student Health Services

 

                  All students are required to have the following immunisations before joining the course.

Hepatitis A & B and Typhoid

 

Students are free to attend the Student & Staff Health Clinic in case of any medical problems. The college offers free treatment for any disease, for the entire period of 5 years from the date of joining.

 

Students Union

           

                    All students are automatically members of the Students Union, which aims to ensure social and general welfare and promote extra curricular activities. The Students Union is governed by the Union Council and it consists of Chairman, Secretary General, Study Secretary, Arts Secretary, Sports Secretary, Social Service Secretary and a representative from each class. The representatives and office bearers are elected from the students. The Students Union would function strictly according to the Byelaws of Students Union and any office bearer who violates the Byelaws would automatically cease to be a member of the council. No political activity is allowed in the functioning of the Students Union.

 

Sports & Leisure

 

               Students participation in sports, arts and cultural activities is actively encouraged. Both outdoor and indoor sports facilities are provided. a physical fitness department would oversee the sports activities; annual arts festival would be an opportunity for the students to demonstrate their artistic talents.

 

Dress

 

It is necessary for all male students to wear shirt and trousers, with full shoes.

 

All girls are required to put up their hair. The girls are free to wear saree, salwar kameez or shirt and trousers.

 

Jeans and chappals are not allowed.

 

White overcoat is compulsory for both male and female students.
